GUESTS
Aside from our five speaker-guests from PISD, we were blessed to have three other guests today. Janie Kundak joined husband Jon Kundak today. David Huck made an invitation and
Brandon Trainer joined us. And a visitor from another area Rotary Club came in to see how things worked in Prosper. We hope all three will return soon.

TODAY’S SPEAKERS

Valerie Little, newly named as Executive Director of Athletics and Student Engagement, brought the head football coaches from the three Prosper high schools.
Mark Wilkinson – Head football coach at Rock Hill High School
Tommy Allison – Head football coach at newly opened Walnut Grove High School
Tyler Moore – new Head football coach at Prosper High School
Michael Sain – PISD Assistant Athletic Director

Each coach spoke about their school’s football program. What stood out and common between the three was the overriding principle that the kids came first; not winning games but building good people. Our kids are in good hands.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

FLAG MAINTENANCE
Saturday August 26th

We need you! We need your kids. We need bodies.

We still have a lot of work to do in preparation for our next flag deployment. We will have a workday Saturday the 26th. We’ll start at 0700 and finish by 1100.

The work will be performed at our storage lockers in Prosper. Blue Star Storage, 1140 Prosper Trail, Prosper 75078. It’s located on the SW corner of Prosper Trail and Preston Road. The code to get your car in the gate is 6430*. Our lockers (148, 152, 153, 154) are along the back drive.

The only thing you might need to bring is water, side cutters (suitable to cut zip ties), and work gloves. You might also bring eye protection if you plan on using a drill.

ROTARIAN VOLUNTEERS

Our own Howard Guren spent time volunteering at Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors Food Bank on the 11th. If you’d like to do the same, check this link for the next opportunity.

NOTES FROM TODAY'S BUSINESS MEETING

We created two committees to address two issues.

Jon Kundak, Hulon Webb, and Joey Womble will work on some sort of year-end celebration to recognize our club's 15 year anniversary.

Joey Womble, Jon Kundak, and David Huck are going to address ideas and means to increase our club's size and volunteer capacity.

Important Issue: We are all in agreement that we need to quickly find a person(s) to become our next flag program czar. If you have any inclination or thoughts, please share them.
