Hello, All. If you weren’t at our meeting yesterday, we missed you.

Déjà vu. We had a choir perform for us. The Rock Hill Senior High School Choir provided a very enjoyable half hour of great vocal entertainment. The kids were great!

Two visitors graced us with their presence: Jen Lutes of Cornerstone and my lovely wife Barbara Bishop.

Speaking of Cornerstone,
  • Their Christmas sharing event was a huge success. They served 136 families and 362 kids: both an increase from last year. I noticed that we had at least four Prosper Rotarians (and some family) there and serving. That’s what we’re supposed to do!

  • We presented Jen and Cornerstone with the proceeds from our Christmas parade entry fees. Ed handed her a $730.00 check. Merry Christmas.

  • Jen told us that they could use some help Tuesday delivering perishables to their client families. If you’d like to assist, you might contact Cornerstone or Jen for details.

Harlan has committed to Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors that our club will start providing volunteers to assist with some of their regular distribution events. Rotary volunteers are requested to assist on the 2nd Saturday of each month between 11:00AM and 1:00 PM. Check out the web page for more details. https://www.n3foodpantry.org/

Doyle told us that he’s close to unveiling our new web site. Once that happens, we’ll also use that site to share this type of information via a Stories and Newsletters section. Look for that to happen soon.  Thanks, Doyle!

We’ll have no meetings for the next two weeks.

Our next meeting will take place on January 5th when we install Harlan Jefferson as our new president and thank Ed for his service. Please join us for this event.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years to everyone.
