Heart Attack Survivor, Widow-Maker Heart Attack
Denise Castille is a widow-maker heart attack survivor.  Upon surviving, Denise quickly realized her purpose was rooted in helping others avoid a similar experience.

Mario Canizares
Newly appointed Town Manager of the Town of Prosper
 
 
“I am thrilled to welcome Mario Canizares and his family to the town of Prosper,” Mayor David Bristol said in a statement. “From our very first meeting, I have been so impressed with his knowledge, demeanor, experience and his contagious passion for the opportunity to serve the people who live and work here. The council and I are ready to work with Mario and see his leadership positively impact the town of Prosper.”
Canizares previously worked as city manager for Nacogdoches beginning in 2020, in addition to numerous other deputy and assistant city manager positions for Denton, Coppell and Addison.
 
“For years, I have admired Prosper as a town that has found a unique way to hold true to its incredible heritage while pioneering its way through this exciting moment in time,” Canizares said in a statement. “I am humbled and honored to begin serving the residents, businesses, elected leaders and employees of the Town of Prosper.”

SERVICE PROJECTS
Calling All Volunteers:
To All Prosper Rotary Club Members and Others Who Want to Help:
 
We will have a flag build day this coming Saturday April 1st 8:00AM-Noon.  We need YOU! The weather should be great.
 Bring:
  • a pair of side cutters / snips capable of cutting zip ties
  • a ¼” nut driver with a few sockets / ¼” and 5/16” are likely needed. A cordless drill to drive ‘em makes it easier.
  • water – stay hydrated
  • protective eye wear if you plan to work around the drill press
  • sunglasses
  • work gloves
 The work will be performed at our storage lockers in Prosper. Blue Star Storage, 1140 Prosper Trail, Prosper 75078. It’s located on the SW corner of Prosper Trail and Preston Road. The code to get your car inside the gate is 6430*. Our lockers (148, 152, 153, 154) are along the back drive.
 
2nd Annual Resident Mixer
Second ever New Resident Mixer will be held on the south lawn of Town Hall (250 W. First Street).  We are encouraged to bring promotional information packets to give away to attract people to our booth. We will have a tent and table set up for our use. Come on out and meet people, welcome them to Prosper, and invite them to join our club.

Newly Announced-Lunch Price Increase
Our lunch provider is increasing their price to us. Accordingly, we will start collecting $12.00 from each lunch participant starting at our next meeting. Be sure and bring lots of ones!
 
Lunch for first-time guests will remain free.
